Danila Ivanov

 

Born and raised in Perm, Russia, Danila Ivanov completed his B.S. degree in Radiophysics and Electronics at Perm State University. Before graduating in 2010, Danila’s professional experience was in computer engineering, journalism, photography and production management.

After graduation, he moved to New York to study network engineering. During this time he launched two digital startup projects. Throughout years of study, he worked at a number of knowledge-expanding jobs (web designer, project manager in web studio, production designer, wedding photographer).

In 2014 - 2016, Danila worked for BBDO NY as an interactive producer.

In 2016-2017 he worked at NY-based agency CoolGraySeven and developed the agency's digital wing. Set up digital processes and methods in the agency. Improved the quality of the agency's digital products including websites, apps and experiential.

From 2018 until 2021 worked at MediaMonks in Amsterdam as a senior integrated producer. Danila is managed and delivered creative solutions for both agencies and direct clients. 

Direct clients:  ASML, Heineken, KLM, Miro, KIA, Chupa Chups, Akzo Nobel, Adidas, Seat, Uber, Jackobs. 

While coordinating complex projects, he successfully utilized his technical knowledge, and ability to develop creative solutions, organize and maintain an efficient team’s working process and accommodate the needs of both client and the production team. Danila has always been a team leader and a visionary with the ability to organize a productive and goal-oriented team that will bring a project to life.

 In 2021 Danila moved to Berlin and currently working as a Content Manager at smart Europe GmbH, where he is creating and managing pan-European content (mainly CGI and videos & paid media + setting up content mgmt and content development systems). 

Before joining ad business, Danila was mainly focused on initiating and organizing educational programs for young professionals from Europe in New York. This was developed under the umbrella of Bridge To a company that he co-founded. The company emerged into an international collective of ad professionals and succeeded in delivering a number of quality projects related to websites, apps, etc.

Besides working as an integrated producer during day hours, Danila spends some time during non-working hours and weekends crafting his own complex side projects complex digital projects. Working on them he is wearing as many hats as possible: founder, creative director, account manager, UX designer, cameraman, art director, product manager and even an accountant. His responsibilities as an integrated producer include:

  • - Scoping and producing integrated materials. That required profound knowledge of web instruments, video tools technologies, and production-related  best practices;
  • - Developing ideas/solutions for revitalizing “dead” projects;
  • - Video production (social content + TVC)
  • - Pitching ideas that involved new technologies to clients/creative teams;
  • - Maintaining ~15 solid relationships with vendors;
  • - Bringing vendors in house to nurture partnerships and pitch mutual prototypes to the client (brought in Google ATAP (project SOLI) and Shazam);
  • - Assessing projects, defining objectives, milestones, and a best way of task execution within financial, scheduling, and resource management terms;
  • - Maintaining creative and production integrity in parallel to planning upcoming projects;
  • - Liaising with account, creative, development teams and clients;
  • - Compiling pre-production documents such as call sheets, functional specs, content matrices, etc.;
  • - Understanding of back-end systems and interactive projects that relate to the web, mobile, and broadcast. Following updates on important existing or emerging technologies;
  • - Generating and amending project schedules;
  • - Coaching internal teams on the capabilities of modern technologies;
  • - Understanding media planning and its implications;
  • - Collaborating with business affairs and legal teams to coordinate an asset usage rights and talent contracts;
  • - Managing all project related issues as a primary point of contact for the team;
  • - Mediating legal procedures relating to online contests and sweepstakes;
  • - Mediating SEO / SEM best practices;
  • - Managing the post-production process;
  • - Coordinating the activities of company and outsource vendors to project completion;
  • - Working with UX designers to define deliverables prior to design;
  • - Producing standard and rich banners (HTML5), landing pages and websites on the regular basis.
